## What it is

Land of Oz is an interactive, walk-through Wizard of Oz theme park atop Beech Mountain, North Carolina. The original park opened in 1970 and the modern incarnation now hosts two flagship experiences each year:

- **Autumn at Oz** — the world's largest Wizard of Oz festival. Held every September–October.
- **Tea with Dorothy & Aunt Em** — an intimate musical comedy + tea experience. Limited summer dates.

Founded by entrepreneur Grover Robbins and his brothers Harry and Spencer Robbins (owners of Carolina Caribbean Corporation). Designed by Jack Pentes from a child's perspective. Famously associated with Debbie Reynolds, who invested in the park and displayed her own Wizard of Oz costume collection in its museum.
